How Do I Get To Heaven?

The Bible tells us that even one sin is enough to keep us from heaven, and thereby send us to Hell.  God, knowing that we could never be good enough to earn our way to heaven, provided the only way we can be saved is by faith in Jesus Christ.  Salvation is a very simple process. 

1.  Recognize that our sins have separated us from God.
Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2  Believe that Jesus is God
John 1:1-3
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

3 Believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay for sins, and that He was raised from the dead.
Romans 5:8
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Corinthians 15:3-6
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.

4. Receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and your Lord
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Pray the following prayer:

Dear God, I admit that I have sinned, and that my sin has separated me from you.  I do confess that Jesus is your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He was raised from the dead.  I receive Him as my savior and Lord, please make me part of your family today.
